Background info for this panel

We just watched a movie about the false Jewish Messiah of the 1660s, Shabbtai Tzvi. The movie's shocking conclusion causes a revolt among some Hasidic Jews in the audience, who riot across lower Manhattan. Simultaneously, a blackout occurs, and the world is transfixed by the flickering images of the Hasidic rampage, captured on New Yorkers' cellphones. Now we are watching the events that unfold, as a downward-spiraling economic crisis, and the Hadisic riot, inspire a millenial movement among world Jewry.
